Hey ParamoreHxC,

Make sure that you have the most recent version of the Line 6 drivers and Monkey installed as well:

Line 6 Monkey 1.42:

Once Line 6 Monkey is installed, remove any additional unnecessary USB and firmware devices from your computer when troubleshooting this issue. Make sure to connect it directly to a USB port and not a USB hub, extension, or keyboard of any kind, preferably connect it to a USB port on the rear of computer. Try using additional USB cables and every USB port available until you are able to launch Line 6 Monkey and detect the device.

Once Line 6 Monkey is launched apply any updates that are available until you have a green check next to each component.

Then follow the instructions that silverhead suggested:

All you should need to use is a USB cable to connect the UX2 to your computer's USB port. Then connect your headphones directly to your UX2's headphone output.

At the risk of sounding stupid I will try to give an answer, I don't have a mac I have a PC and my kids like to llisten to their music on the PC but I want my sounds out of my hardware. All I did was make my line 6 hardware the default sound when it is pluged in to usb and when I unplug the usb it comes through the computer. You should have the same kind of set up on a mac I assume. Go to your sounds and your ux2 should come up and make it your default.

I hope I have helped if I have not I am sorry in advance! Not having a mac I'm not sure but they can't be that dif.

So....I've been trying to figure this out for quite some time now. Not being able to hear music AND my guitar through the SAME headphones has almost made me quit playing guitar. I have a POD UX2 and I like to play along with the music on my computer....but the problem is that the music comes out of my Macbook built in speakers while my guitar sounds come out of my headphones.

Is there any way to hear both of em through my headphones? Please help me out here. I've asked many people this yet no one gives a clear answer. But I'm confident that I will find the answers here, on the line 6 community site.

Also, if this is possible, please tell me the specific cables I need, if any. Oh, and once again...I have a Macbook. In otherwords, I have a laptop. If it's not possible to hear both sounds through the same headphones, is it possible to hear both sounds through my laptops built in speakers? Please help me out here. PLEASE!!
