The Rokits 1/4" inputs are actually balanced/unbalanced (says it in the manual) so just plug and play. No adapters needed.

And they work great btw. They can get VERY loud, so for those who are just buying them, I highly suggest you start with the speakers' volume knobs turned down and go from there.

The problem is the 1/4" outs on the HD500 are unbalanced where as the 1/4 ins on the KRK's are balanced...can you just run a regular TS cable?

But it has to be said whan I use these monitors I'm not really intending blowing the tiles off the roof That said though they do make quite a healthy row if I want them to

The reason I am asking is that I just got the Rokit 8's today and haven't had time to really test them out but I plugged in one and the volume wasn't that loud......using the full AC30TB with the amp volume at 85%, the drive around 35% and the master volume at 100%.

I know the AC30 isnt as loud as say the JCM800 but I still expected it to be louder. Also, I have the mixer volumes at zero.....do you normally jack those up when outputting this way?

Thanks,

Derek
