By design, the speakers will cut off when you connect a load to the external connections. Your options are to either use both 8 ohm connections L and R with the cab and mute the internal speakers of the amp, or connect only one output to your cab and leave the other internal speaker on, giving you a stereo spread. You don't use a stereo cable for the amp-to-cabinet conenctions. You need 2 mono cables (left to left, right to right). This will cut off the sound to both of the speakers in the combo amp.

A way to bypass the speaker cutoff has been posted in these forums, you can search for it. Note that if an incorrect impedance (ohms) load is given to the amp, eventually there will be damage to the output section of the amp.

there is no warranty for my line 6, the music store where i bought the cab at said it could be done but now that i have bought the cab they dont wanna seem to show me how. i am running a sterio cable from the back of the amp to the imput on the cab, left to left, but when i do that the right speaker in the amp plays and the left side speakers play in the cab

and same as if i was to go right right

To do so will invalidate your warranty for the amp. This applies to trying to bypass the speaker cut-off on any Line 6 amp.

Hello

first I would like to mention that I love the line 6 amps and have been using mine for over a year now and and completly in love with everything about. but i have an important question. i recently bought a spider iv 4x12 cab and want to connect it to my spider iv 150 watt combo amp. i was told i can do this but my main concern was that i would loose the internal speakers on the combo amp to do this. is their anyway around this so that i can have all 6 speakers pumping out sound. look forward to a quick reply, thanks guy
