2 questions re: HD500 and DT25

Hi...a couple of questions:

1. I have been using my HD500 in my Soultone 1987PS's FX loop, effects only, no models. This is a great sounding 50 watt Marshall clone, but I'm trying to get away from mics. This has led me to find a great patch in the HD500 using the JCM800/Engl cab/Senn 421 mic. NOW, I thought I'd set up a patch with no modeling on the left and this amp/cab/mic on the right, hoping I could use the left channel with no amp model into my loop and then DI from the right balanced out of the HD500 to the board. However, it appears that inputs on the HD are not isolated so I always get a mix...IOW the model is my fx loop which doesn't sound good. Am I missing a setting somewhere, or is this something the HD500 wasn't designed to do?

2. I'm guessing that the HD500 won't do that, so I've been looking at the DT25. I notice that you've suggested PREAMP models, which makes sense. However, I'm really in love with this HD500 combination (JCM800 > Engl 412 cab > Senn 421 mic)...so with the DT25 can I get the cab an mic emulations to work with the JCM800 preamp model to get the same sound? If not, is there a way that I can send the preamp model to the DT25 and the amp model to the board?

I hope this all makes sense! Thanks for reading!

Jeff
