I happen to have my HDPro and JTV next to me so I did some tests. It is a definite bug. It is the not the mag sounds coming through. If you set both left and right to variax and do a dual amp set up, you will get the low E A and D sounding mostly normal. The G, B anD E get progressively worse. Sounds more like the calibration is off by cents rather than half step. The "ghost" notes seem higher in pitch, but if I did a cap up 2 frest on the first 5 strings and only 1 fret on high e. . .it did not correct the problem.

Also with second input set to variax as well as first you could then scroll through all the options. Sounds the same on all, except variax mags. In that case you will obviuosly here the standard tuning strings and it sounds much worse and lower in picth and not higher.

Another test. Do a whole step slide up on the E, A and D strings, sounds ok. Do the same on the B and E and it is warbly as all heck. You get a weird digiatl ramping.

But after I select a different emulation and go back to the saved preset I get the original tone as well as the 3 half steps up tone. The original tone is not quite as loud as the modified tone, but it sounds horrible

But without a microphone! Maybe using an interface you can directly play your guitar in or a recording out at your amp.

There have been several threads in this forum reporting about that issue and most of them noticed, that they really hear the natural sound from the strings unamplified as a ghost note.

I often wonder HOW LOUD you have to play until you cannot hear the original note anymore. Because of that I would recommend to record the signal and check whether the ghost note is still there or not.

Greetz,

Benni

Moreover, I don't hear that the second note I hear on each

note of the 1st string is the normal note (meaning without capo), I think it is more

a not really tuned note ... sort of ghost note, but amplified ...

And you are sure that with the JTV , on acoustic model, with the tuning capo Third position, if it is a VDI-cable and a Line 6 POD, it is really working fine and clear , without ghost note ?

Thanks

grenal1

If not, it will amplify both, the modelled and the magnetic-pickp signal.

Benni
