I wound up flashing the firmware, which seemed to do the trick.

Hi,

Have you tried a reset on the Spider Jam? Hold down the settings/tone button as you turn on the power and hold the button for 5-8 seconds.

Screech at start of loop

I have a new Spiderjam unit with a weird problem... if I pick a drum beat and lay down a track on top of it, all is good. If I then lay down a second track on that loop, when played back there is a momentary weird screech at the beginning of the loop; after that the loop sounds fine.

I thought maybe a firmware upgrade, but I checked and the firmware is current (DSP 2.09 / MCU 1.05)
