Just want to be sure I'm clear.

Sorry about the confusion... MIDI will not transmit actual Audio infomation whatsoever. So if you have other actual sounds on the Roland keyboard and wish to hear them being played back by a software applcation, the only way to really do that is to capture the audio performance, not your MIDI performance data.

With MIDI, you're basically sending MIDI Note Number data, the MIDI Velocity data, the MIDI Note Length data... but these aren't actually in the form of what you're "hearing"; it's what you're "doing" (which note on the keyboard you played, how loud and how long, respectively.

So MIDI Memo captures that data. It plays back that data; but the actual audio/sound you'll hear is whatever the receiving MIDI device is currently loaded with. As an example (attempt): let's say you recorded a performance of yourself playing the Roland keyboard, right? While you may have had a Piano sound actively selected and hearing this while recording MIDI, you didn't really record the actual sound itself, just the notes and the associated other parameters I've already mentioned. If you run a MIDI Out back to say, another keyboard or rack-mounted sound device (like a Digital Sampler) and have a totally different sound, like say a Trumpet patch, what you'd hear for the playback of the recorded MIDI data would be the same notes, velocity of what your fingers performed and how long the notes lasted... but you'll hear a Trumpet sound, because the device that is receiving the MIDI playback data is loaded with a Trumpet patch and not a Piano.

Hope this example made sense.

My MIDI Mobilizer is only recording the piano sound from my Roland PF5 keyboard. I've tried various sounds on the keyboard but when I play it back on the MIDI Memo app it only sounds as the regular piano. I have the iphone4 with the latest update. Is this a problem with my Line 6 Mobilizer or something that needs to change with my kepboard? The Mobilizer works fine through the music studio app and pulls those sounds just fine. Just doesn't want to record other sounds directly from my keyboard. Thanks.
