Hi. MIDI does not record audio. MIDI is way for devices to communicate with one another. We have a MIDI FAQ (http://line6.com/support/docs/DOC-4287) that you may want to review to understand what MIDI is.

You probably should look into Mobile In. It will get your guitar signal into your iOS device so you can record it: http://line6.com/mobilein/.

I have recently purchased a midi mobilizer 2 with an m13 stompbox and can't seem to get it working for what i wanted it for. After seeing multiple vidoes online of the midi mobilizer used with keyboards i was under the impression I could record using it and the line 6 midi memo app to record guitar through this midi device and my m13 stompbox. I guess I was wrong. Is there any way to record actual sounds and play them back through these 2 devices? I'm new to midi and don't understand quite its capability and my local guitar center is useless as usual and told me this thing would do things I'm not able to get it to do. Help please, don't want this to be money wasted and time wasted.
