It's kind of off white with a light green tinge. At first i was't all that into it because my expectation was that it'd be pure white. However, the greenish hue gives the guitar a more retro, aged look. I thought about getting a white pearloid, but had a change of heart. Everyone's got pearloid these days, and the retro look is more in line with what I want. It has grown on me, and under stage light you can't really tell it's not bright white.

Now "why in the world" would Line 6 not offer up, or allow 3rd party companys to sell these pickguards for the JTV, without having to "special order" them???

A "6 weeks" turn around timeframe? They can build space shuttles faster than this...

Are they really that far behind in production ? Whats going on here?

Do you have a picture of the guitar with the mint green pickgaurd? Because I just ordered a LPB jtv-69 and i am hoping it is actually white, not mint green.

I found this picture online through google images. Obviously it must be old considering the black one doesn't come with a white pickgaurd and white pickup covers.

i had a sunburst jazz bass that had white... looked like crap... totally cheapened it...

threw on a tortoise shell.. and it looks much better...

but yeah... pickguards are a personal choice, and an easy way to make it your own...

assuming you can get the pickguard

Thanks, I'm gonna get on it. I think it will look great. My bass player on the other hand bought a black Fender Jazz, it came with a white pickguard and he swapped it out for black. To each his own I guess.

You should be able to special order pick gaurds through Guitar Center. Our parts department has confirmed they would take a while to ship. 6-8 Weeks Minimum.

I have a Lake Placid Blue 69 and I thought the pick guard was going to be white but it's mint green... I was expecing white and at first I wasn't too crazy about it, but it has grown on me..

I don't have a 69 either, but I'd think Line 6 would make a killing on stuff to customize their guitars -- white or gray pearloid would look killer on most of the 69's, as well. LP styled pickguards for the 59's would sell, too, I'd bet. Probably in time a 3rd party will get into it if L6 doesn't. I like my 59 TSB without a pickguard and with the open coil humbuckers, but numerous others have commented on their desire to put pickup covers and/or pickguards on their 59's. They could even have a market for gold plated hardware -- bridges, pup covers, tuners, etc., etc. -- why not?

I'll probably try those stick on fretboard markers at some point to make mine look more like my LP. If they look too cheezy, I can always remove 'em -- they're not expensive...
