The POD X3 family of modellers never had/have the ability to record audio samples/loops. You would need to use an outboard looping unit to accomplish that task.

Only with the POD HD series of modellers did the internal processor and available memory storage space allow for the functionality of a looping algorithm to be included. There's also a Quick Looper on our Spider IV 75 watt and higher, Spider Valve MKII amps and M-Series Stompbox modellers.

But with older POD's: POD original, PODxt and POD X3's... no onboard looper, soory.

The "Song" folder is just a folder of sound program patches (stored knob settings for recall).
