So for some reason the Monkey app for Mac has an issue downloading it. But i have no issues downloading it seperate. So it's not a firewall or file type error on my machine. I think you guys might have a bug with your software.

Thanks for the help!!

Hello. We have an FAQ on the process at http://line6.com/support/docs/DOC-2049, and a video that shows what you'd expect to see throughout the process: [Video Tutorial] How to Update the Flash Memory on a Spider IV Amplifier Using an FBV Shortboard MkII Pedal

With Monkey throwing that error, you should try downloading the update seperately here: http://line6.com/software/. You can then use the 'update from file' button in Monkey.

If the separate download fails, you may have a configuration issue with your ISP, network, computer, or browser.

If it fails during the install, then that error message could be communication with the amp. Try a different USB port, and disconnect any hubs, HDDs and anything USB (excluding mouse and keyboard).

Another tip: never use the front USB ports for USB audio or midi devices... front USB ports are usually via a built in hub, and hubs are usually bad news for realtime data like audio or MIDI.

No other USB devices connected. Brand new USB2 cable that i bought when i bought the peddle. IT has no problem seeing both the board and the Head. But gives me that error every time i try and upgrade. Worst part is i have no idea if it's the file on the amp or what it's downloading. Any one know somewhere i can jsut down load the file and put it in the folder it looks at?? Any help is appretiated here since i'm feeling like i blew 200 bucks on the new peddle for nothing.
