It has been at least 72 hours since we've heard from you. We're going to assume your question has been answered. If it has been answered, please award points to whoever was helpful and/or answered the question.

In the event your issue has not been resolved, I created a support ticket for you so we can continue to communicate. Please respond to the ticket. Thanks!!

Q: What is a support ticket?

A: A support ticket allows you to directly correspond with a Line 6 Support Representative. An email will be sent to you from Line 6 containing a link to the ticket when a Line 6 Support Representative responds to it. Please follow the link in the email to view your open ticket to work one on one with Line 6 Support. Also, in your account, click My Account, then click Support Tickets to view the support ticket. Here’s a shortcut: http://line6.com/account/tickets/view/.

Please note: Sometimes support tickets will be filtered to spam and junk folders. If you did not receive an email from us indicating that a ticket has been created, please make sure to check those folders in your email host, and also that your email account is receiving messages at all.

Granted there might not me more than 270 decent ones! ;-) but they are there.

I looked at the ebay listing and they are quite clear that they have taken these tones from custometone so no deception. But the tones are there for free4. In fact about 9 months ago I posted a few zips containing all of the custome tone files to that date. I stopped doing this because the stuff was being updated so much that I couldn't keep up - and to be honest I realised that the best thing to do was to selectively search for the tones that you wanted. I wouldn't be surprised if the person posting these tones on ebay used my zips as a basis (and also another user called Texxx also uploaded a load). Search through my old posts and you can have the zips for free - I didn't charge.

Dont get me wrong the seller on ebay is quite clear that these files are available for free on custome tone and that his item is for your ease of use- he is not deceiving anybody, I am not convinced of its value.

I am not associated with them in any way , but there main selling feature, and its a good one, is that they sell u the 3000 tones as a zip and it takes a minute or so to download and unip where as even if all of those 3000 files were free on the Line 6 site it would take days to download them because there is not a zip file. I don't know about you,. but my time is definitely worth 10 bucks! So, maybe until Line6 fixes the way we can download and audition, the only reasonable answer is to pay the 10 bucks; or spend the next three days clicking and downloading Thanks, Karma

First thing is to stop BUYING tones when you can get them for free from CustomTone here.

I used to build CUSTOM banks of tones for players of all styles before the JTV guitars came out as I was one of the seemingly few who knew how to create or edit guitar tones based on a description or hearing a songs guitar sound, rhythm, lead, whatever. I did this quite successfully by request only. I charged a fair amount of money agreed upon based on the request and time it took to get the sounds exactly the way the customer wanted. That is something worth buying, not a pile of sounds that could have come from anywhere.

It would be TRAGIC if whoever is SELLING 3,000 tones on eBay actually got them mostly from CustomeTone for FREE and just bundled them together and charged money for it!!!

I'll bet that after getting BLASTED by most of us on how bad the POD HD500 Factory preset sounds were...I wouldn't be surprised if Line 6 changed all or most of those sounds to really well done and USEABLE sounds for the retailers to simply plug in and play. There is some new update coming..it's well within the realm of "possible". Because if there is anything "simple" - it is the majority of the retail sales people around the world. Minimum wage, no commissions, what incentive to learn anything about any of the gear on the floor? So having great sounding factory presets will help resolve that problem that Line 6 already has gotten itself stuck in.

If this does happen...I hope it's not too late to "put the spilled milk back into the bottle". PLUS, all retail stores would have to either put a NEW unit out on display or take the time to update the one already out on display - IF these places even bother to display these Line 6 products?

I think there are several good suggestions for auditioning sounds posted here, but I'm posting here to tell you and anyone else thinking this - DO NOT BUY SOUNDS - they are here for free!! Unless you have someone build you custom tones to your specs - THAT is worth paying an expert EDIT user to do in my opinion.

Take care,

Neal
