Now that I have installed Line 6 Monkey v.1.57 the version of the installed flash memory is shown again.

Funny !

Go to bed, sleep, wake up and connect you pod hd again and it works the version appears again in Monkey!

I think this soft worth its name!

Same problem with my HD 300 ; after updating to 1.31, the version of the flash memory is not showing up : got a '-' in the Installed column!

Uhmm, I don't wan't to sound snarky or something. But did you guys conect your HD300 or 400 to the power suply?

I just helped some one with exact the same problem, and it turned out she hadn't conected it to the power suply.

there is no ESN on the HD pods....

you likely have a bad install of the drivers...

Un- and reinstalling all Line6-Software, resetting my POD HD300, trying several USB-Ports on my PC - without success. Line6-Monkey still shows "ESN: None" and a "-" for installed Flash Memory.

Line6 - please GO AN FIX THIS BUG as soon as possible! I didn´t buy the POD HD to waste my time on software issues!

I had the same problem, monkey did not show the Flash memory of my HD300.

I reinstalled the newest drivers but that didn't work.

After using another USB cable (from my MIDI keybord) it works now.

Maybe that helps...

My HD400 is showing 1.31 on boot up, but monkey(Win 7) has a "-" also in the current slot and 1.31 in the newest slot. You can't select Update as it is greyed out so what is concerning me when a new flash arrives for download, will we be able to do it. I am thinking not :-(

I have also unplugged everything and reinstalled everything I can but no difference. I have even made Monkey run as XP version and as Administrator in compatability mode but that has no effect.

I tried the following process with no workaround to the line6 bugs.

Disconnect HD400 from WIN7 PC
Uninstall HD400 Driver
Shutdown computer
Power-on computer
Start Line6 Monkey
Install latest HD400 driver
Plug-in HD400 USB to PC when prompted by driver install
Wait for WIN7 notification area message: "driver install complete".
Open Line6 Monkey
Check "Flash Memory" version: reads "-"

I repeated steps 7-10 on all 8 external USB connections with no change in the Line6 defect behavior.

Please note in the attached screen shots of the Line6 bug behavior.

WIN7 Device Manager indicates successful device installation of HD400 driver

Line6 Audio MIDI Devices control panel indicates successful connection to HD400 device

Line6 Monkey shows successful connection to HD400 device, but "-" installed "Flash Memory" version

Line6 Monkey "Choose Device" menus shows successful detection of HD400 device

HD400Edit shows "No device connected"

I've now spent over 6 hours debugging what I, and several other forum users, would now conclude a Line6 defect. Considering my billable rate with a relevant BSEE degree, I've now doubled my investment in this defective HD400 HW/SW combination and have to consider this purchase a severe disappointment with competitor's products looking far more viable solutions.

I plan to repeat the 10 steps above except completly removing all Line6 software, as well as repeating the 10 steps above on a second WIN7 machine. In the mean time, please try to reproduce and debug these failures on a Line6 POD HD400 with firmware v1.03 and post your results.
