That's why I was thinking it could be a problem. The patch was stored with settings for a short board and the amp didn't know what to do with the long board hooked up. It's a long shot I'll admit but worth a try since it's so easy to try. You're gonna make me unpack and hook the thing up aren't you? I wish I had schematics for the FBV controllers but I don't, only the Vetta HD.

That's why the shortboard works flawlessly and the longboard only the top row of bottons and the expression pedals work. Is there anyway of taking the patches from the shortboard saving them to the amp then just reconfiguring them for the longboard or do we have to start from scratch. Again thank you for your help.

I'd have to get mine all hooked up to tell but it's all put away right now. Off hand I'd say that his patches could be stored with the short board and it's confused with the long board connected. Try saving and reloading some patches with the long board to see.

Other than that maybe you should try a new CAT5 cable, they're cheap and avaliable enough and it's uber easy to do. Just don't do something silly and use a crossover cable. Using a crossover cable is likely to do some bad things.

If none of that then it's probably something simple like a loose connector inside the FBV or maybe a bad pin in the CAT5 cable connector but I don't think so, that would likely make the whole board inop as it's serial data being swapped between the Vetta and Foot controller. Since neither the switchs or the LEDs work, that's somewhat telling.

Hi everyone I am new to the forums. I am hoping someone out there can answer a question for me. My brother has a vetta II I bought him 10 years ago for a wedding present. Now I bought him the longboard, he had the shortboard. My problem is that the shortboard works no problem all buttons work turning on and off the stompboxes, effects, bank etc. On the long board only the two expression pedels, and the top row of buttons work, the bottom two rows of buttons don't do squat. I also noticed that the shortboard when you turn on the amp all the leds blink in a sequence, on the longboard only the top row and expression pedels leds blink in sequence, the bottom two rows don't blink at all. Any help would be greatly apprieciated Thanks.
