You can set up the 2 transmitter on the same channel. So you just turn off the one on the eguitar with broken string and turn on the other guitar's transmitter and you are good to go, no hassle with the receiver.

great so what Line6 initially told me a while back about the G90 wasn't correct, nice to know I can buy a 2nd transmitter and use 2 guitars through it, I love the build quality of the G90 rack compared to my X2 Digital Rack, can't waitt to order one now, probably will buy it from Sweetwater with the 2 year warranty.

You can instantly switch over to an second transmitter that is on a different channel with the built-in A/B switch in the G 90 receiver. You can also add a second pair of antennas to a G90 which will also increase the resistance to dropping out do to local conditions. Billy's setup uses a pair of Line 6 paddle antennas and a pair of rubber duckies in the front. That will give you the most professional system.

Hi there, I contacted Line6 a while about about the new G90 Rack mount system, asking them can I use 2 guitars with it, meaning if I break a string and need to pick up my back guitar, and within 3-5 seconds be able to use the other instrument they said NO! I would have to buy a 2nd Rack mount and daisy chain them. I thought, thats not right, so I went on You Tube today and watched a demo Video of the G90.

The guy demoing it said that if I had a second guitar, I could set it to a different channel, turn on channel switching, and then if I broke a string I could swap guitars, hit the channel select and I would be able to start playing on the backup using the other channle it was set to. Wanted to ask here is that 100% correct? I am thinking of getting this unit within a week because at my last big show both my used X2 Digital transmitters (body packs) failed on me, one died completely, and the other started to break up. I have been using these quite a lot over the last three years, they've seen quite a bit of wear n tear so I feel it's time to get the G90 system, I play shows from 500 to 10,000 so I need something reliable, as close to a cable as possible, I read Billy Duffy from the Cult who I love now uses the G90 system live, I saw the Cult here in St. Pete FL last year and his live tone was really great.

Anyways! if someone can clarify the question before I buy that would be awesome..
