I personally do not own the DT-50, but I have demo'd one several times with my own guitar and my own POD, and that worked just fine....the tones were good.

Bruce - Welcome to the world of Line 6. I'm no expert, but I have been using Edit since my Spider Valve order 4 yrs ago.

What I would do is this...for volume, what I do is go into the Controllers section, select your amp in the Model area, then FS Assign to "Exp Toe Switch", then for Parameter, select "Ch Vol", then Controller to Exp-1, finally, set the range - I usually go 0-100% (low/high) so that I can go from silence to full volume. Then its just a matter of using also your master volume on your amp when at full volume.

If that's not enough volume for you, then you can use in Mixer the leftmost slider and go up however many DB you want it boosted. Or you can add a EQ and just turn on the boost part of it.

Hope that helps.

Greetings, I have just bought the DT50 and John Tyler variax. I already had the HD500. I am suffering from technology overload. My first problem is simply getting my volume set. When I get a reasonable volume with the amp by itself then I add the HD500 the volume is TOO LOUD!!! Do I have to set the volume in each individual tone I access? Some are louder than others and I can`t seem to control it from the amp. Also most of the tones seem realy raspy sounding, definitely not what I expected so far. Can anyone give me some guidance here? Where do I start? Thanks in advance, Bruce
