It would need to output 9V AC.

If your current standard is 220V then you're OK if the output is 9V AC with a minimum rating of 2000mA.

If you standard voltage is 110V, you will need a convertor to feed the PSU 220V.

Bear in mind that some damage may already have been done. Even if you connect a proper adapter now it may still need to be repaired beforeit will function again.

Am just asking this but I still need to find this kinda adapter first.

The DD-3 operates on a DC power supply. If you have been running the X3 (requires AC) and the DD-3 (requires DC) using the same power supply, then one of your devices has been at risk of being damaged. Looks like it was the X3.

Well, I can asure you the X3 does not work correctly with a PSU that outputs DV volts. Not sure how it would have worked with the DC supply.

It requires 9V AC, 2,000mA.

I would get the correct PSU and try again.

but how would that explain why the device is acting all wierd...

like i said, it was working fine but not anymore.

I was reading up the technical support and forums and heard few people say it might be something to do with burned voltage regulators or damaged adapters ....

is that a possibility ??? I hope not

I have a hunch your alternate power supply's output is DC, rather than AC which is required for the X3.

Have you tried using Monkey to reinstall the X3 firmware?
