I might be better off with a 300 or 400 so I have less options to confuse me. However, those options are also the power of the unit. Seems like the 500 can do pretty much anything. Studio, home practice, live, through PA, through amp(s), etc. I don't wish I'd never heard of Line 6 gear...I wish I would spend the time to really master it (not sure if that's really possible though, it honestly seems like more of an art than a science).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;On top of that basic "problem" the other problem I have is that messing with tones and such takes me away from what I really need to be working on....learning to play guitar lol. Took me a while to learn, but once I sussed it out all was good.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Bought an HD 500 last month and still in the learning phase, but already it is cleaner, more realistic and sharper.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Awesome piece of kit - wouldn't want anything else for a large festival gig: I can turn up with a couple of guitars and a rucksack and I'm done!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:5d5c1159-d502-49bc-9a12-5a73cd181586] --&gt;</description>
