sounds like the channel A button may be jammed in and causing it to do this. have you tried pressing the channel A buttun uite a few times to loosen it off.

If that fails, it may be a fault somewhere. here's a trick that works on the POD HD's, but I'm not sure if it will on a spider valve:

Hold the right arrow on the 4 way navigation pad on your amp while turning it on. this may take you to a test mode where you might be able to access a test menu for all the buttons (to see if the A channel button is faulty and jammed internally), or another menu for a safe mode firmware update.

If all else fails, click the support link at the top of this page, and contact line 6 technical support to arrange for a service of your amp and they'll get it fixed up in no time.

Cheers

Rowbi

Spider Valve MKII stays in 'Push PRESETS for factory restore' after switch on

Hi there,

I have some trouble with my Spider Valve MKII 100 head.During playing, it suddenly switched to mode 'Push PRESETS for factory restore', and there's no way to get out of this mode again. I did the factory restore several times, but when the reset is done, it turns again to the same mode and says ' Push PRESETS for factory restore' . I can push whatever knob, no change at all. I loaded the latest firmware (2.0) onto the head, but it doesn't change anything. I cannot load the' Spider valve MKII Edit' program with linked head to the computer, as it just stays in 'load' mode. If I unlink the head, program loads, But when I then link the head again, the program doesn't connect to the head. I use the FBV Shortboard MKII to connect to the computer. Can anyboby help please ?

Thanks

Cheers
