I have always had the full menu but when I chose the V70-Bodypack for the update process I had an error message on the screen that there was no device connected.

Glad you found a solution with Thomann. But for the sake of anyone else reading this thread ...

Sometimes you will get that error message because of a time out, a computer hiccup or most commonly if the receiver doesnt pick up the transmitter because of placement along the antenna. When this happens you just escape out and start over.

However now that you have a "dedicated" TBP12 you will now always see it if you try to select anything other that what the transmitter is setup as, e.g. V75, V55, G90, etc

Anyway, I have now found a solution with Thomann who are sending me an additional TX75 Beltpack at a good price and that is going to solve my problem.

The menu of possible choices automatically comes up when you plug in any V75 as the interface. Monkey can't tell what transmitter you have. That's why the menu comes up.

If you plug in your V75 do you not get the full menu now?

I did look for the V-70 bodypack but my bodypack was not recognized as such during upgrade procedure. The serial number of the transmitter is (21) DBV0M6143001298, if this helps.

I can't explain it. I've upgraded probably a hundred of them and have never seen it come up that way in Monkey. Sometimes you have to scroll a bit to see all the options.

Thanks for the information. But can you say why there was only the option of going for the G90 or no upgrade at all with my given bodypack? After all the bodypack was sold als part of a lavalier system and not with a G90-receiver.

Hi, I have just updated my V70 systems to the new firmware. For the TBP12 Beltpack Transmitter there was only the chance during update procedure to choose to update to G90 Transmitter which I did.

Once you have done that there is no going back. It will now always have the G90 features.

Not really much of a problem as either way it will automatically switch over from guitar cable to mic and then back depending on what you plug in. You just wont get any of the built-in models.

In which case Thomann are probably the most convenient source of both TA4F cables and the additional bodypack, ...but you will need to make absolutely certain that they supply the "standard" TBP12, not this identically priced "G" version:

Thanks very much for dealing with my problem. I have again tried to re-flash the unit but I am not offered an option to go back to TBP12.

I think I will follow your advice and get an additional Bodypack with the current firmware and EQ-Models. This will solve the dilemma and also give me the easier handling of two bodypacks when using more than one instrument.

Now that I've looked at more details, Peter...

Replacements for the two are both listed as being "TBP12" beltpacks, but the "Replacement for G50/G90" has a different part number, (albeit at the same price) which I think confirms your suspicion that it is indeed a separate model solely intended for "pick-up and Guitar Cable" applications, with hardware that's accordingly not "re-flashable" for the additional modeling.

I am, however, certain that (if funds permit) you could buy this additional TBP12 https://www.globalfulfillment.net/gfsnet/line6/10Expand.aspx?ProductCode=98-033-0041 which will work beautifully into your existing Relay receiver to both give you the versatility you seek and also allow the "pre-rigging" of another instrument or vocal mic for a virtually instant on stage switch-over.

You'd also need to cover the cost of whatever additional XLF or guitar jack to TA4F adapter cables you'd need for the other applications.
