Thanks all. There is a WWRY tone in the 500. I'm going to take advice I got elsewhere and do it annually. Earnig as I go. Thanks for your patience.

The reply is in there, but here's my take. The Brian may tone is probably the easiest to cop. AC30 and try a two amp setup with the Gibson model. add a tubescreamer and roll the tone back on your guitar, should get you there. The Coldshot is a bit more tricky. No matter what I do I can not really get the right amount of Rotating horn sound, either too much or not enough. Also I'd experiment with using the AC30 for this as well. However, I prefer the Vibrolux.

Ha ha no mate it's all cool, but the fella asked for help and my wording was out of order, sorry. WE are all in the HD500 family with no beef..maybe a little chicken though. Sorry again.

All good gents and poms...... (Oops. I did it again.....). No arguing on my threads unless I crack the savs and start one myself.....

I took no offence to the fact that people responded the way they did.... I've had worse on forums. But in my defence, I was hoping someone might have the patch and be able to manually tell what amp, what effect how much reverb etc etc.

I haven't bothered connecting this to the interment to start a library or even update it (still on version 1.10 do actual upgrades help QUALITY of sounds or just more options??!!) so I was being a little lazy. As I said - the younger in cheek "this is how you use google" got me laughing.

Check out his actual tones - especially on we will rock you. It's also on Hang On In There - the B side to I want it all. It's so thick and full and "hollow"

That's what I'm looking for....

Sorry at my rant in your thread there... but that post (not yours) just got my back up.

Hope the responses provided have helped you (especially your own one ). Im not offended by the pom jokes (especially if thats the best youve got )

I havent personally used or endeavoured to use any Brian May tones despite being from the mother country... but this thread has piqued my intrest and I may just try the customtone one out myself.

I sincerely hope you are not referring to my response with regard to "atittude".

I took time to search for something helpful, but short of finding specific patch beyond the custometone I listed and provided a link to (which I could not download and view as I was at work)I posted what I found most helpful, plus the comment I found re : the fireplace that I found witty.

If there is any atitude in this thread on my part it is only as of now, and only as a result of your post.

Trial and error always works for me. Listen to the guitar tones on the tracks and get as close as you can. In the heat of battle in a club getting close is good enough! I always tell the crowd -"The more you drink,the better you look"! Using the trial and error method takes more time yes. It also teaches you a lot more. Good Luck!!!

Sorry to see this mate, your question was a civil one but all I see is attitude from replies. I have also searched for Brian May patches. There are a couple in the custom tone. I have downloaded them and the main one is the twin delay he uses in the Brighton Rock solo. Just search Brian May in custom tone and you will find it. You will have to edit it to switch off the twin delays, as they are default and that should give you his sound raw with no delay.

Hope this helps ya mate, honest truth I'm not an expert on the HD500 but I will try when I can.
