Press the Outputs button.

You don't say which X3 model you have (I'm assuming the Bean) - but it's described for all models in section 6.2 of the Advanced Guide here:

Yes, you can connect directly to PA. Set the Output mode to Studio / Direct.

Hi guys,

I bought a POD X3 some time ago and am only just beginning to see what I can do with it. I am hoping to use it live with some custom tones that I've made using PodFarm and transered to the POD with Gear Box. To be able to swith between these tones I'm going to get a FBV Express MKII4. My main concern is whether or not I can use this setup and plug straight into a PA, or if I need to get a cab. If the latter, would I need a head aswell, or could I use my POD to act as one? Any advice would be appreciated
