      <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:b06a5ae0-c566-4165-9dd0-a3931554c8d1] --&gt;&lt;div class="jive-rendered-content"&gt;&lt;p&gt;the only HD500 input suitable for line level signal like the one coming from your iPad is: CD/MP3 IN, and it must connected with a mini stereo jack..&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;the other inputs are good for guitars and mics, and not so good for line level devices..&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I'm not 100% sure, but probably you'll not able to (digitally) record your Jam Up Plug, since I believe the CD/MP3 IN signal is not &lt;span class="short_text" id="result_box" lang="en"&gt;&lt;span class="hps alt-edited"&gt;digitized, and if so, doesn't go through the digital outputs: USB and S/PDIF.. unless you connect your POD to the analog inputs of an audio card.. the POD analog outputs can deliver also the &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;CD/MP3 IN signal&lt;span class="short_text" id="result_box" lang="en"&gt;&lt;span class="hps alt-edited"&gt;..&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;that said, I think the best solution is to record your iPad signals (or other line level type signals like keyboards) with a dedicated audio card..&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:b06a5ae0-c566-4165-9dd0-a3931554c8d1] --&gt;</description>
