I just installed a 4" Beam Blocker in my DT-25 112 and the difference is just short of amazing. I don't know what a 5" would do but I'm very pleased with my choice. Obviously, the amp is still louder when directly in front of it, but the redirection of highs to the sides, and all around, is much closer to now what's directly in front. I might even hazard to say it's louder to the sides now as well, though it could just be a psychoacoustic effect since the highs are distributed better. Anyway, Weber designed themselves a neat little device. Well worth the cost and it was easy to install. No rattles yet, like I hear from some other users. Time will tell but right now I'm a much happier camper about this amp.

I now have a "beam blocker" AND a Dr. Z Airbrake Lite Attenuator installed in my DT25..

Wow! These 2 things are ESSENTIAL.

The beam blocker spreads the sounds out and the attenuator allows me to leave the amp cranked up high without deafening volume (unless required).

I thought this amp was good before, but with the valves really cooking it takes it to a different level.

I've fallen in love with this amp all over again.

My daughter got her burger back :-)

Despite working so well, the gaffer tape and plastic burger bun solution just looked a bit naff, so I spent the money for a proper diffuser and got a Tayden one (http://www.lean-business.co.uk/eshop/tayden-sonic-diffuser-for-12-guitar-speakers-p-508.html) as no-one seems to sell the Weber in the UK.

Jeez.... What a pain to fit it.

Not a problem with the diffuser, just that there's so little space in the back of the DT25.

I ended up having to remove the valves and unbolt the transfomer to get enough room to get the diffuser under the speaker and all the time because of the speaker magnet it was trying to attach itself to anything metal.

Getting the transformer back on was a pain because the nuts inside the actual encased amp part are not captive, so you have to open up the amp casing and again there's not a lot of room in there. There were a few other odds and sods of pain too boring to detail and I must have struggled for an hour and a half to get it all sorted and back together again.

Looks and sounds great now, but wow, a lot of effort....

It works!

It doesn't look very pretty, but all the band agreed the sound is far better now and as far as i'm concerned it does the job and sounds great.

My daughter won't be getting her burger back :-D
