You have to create a dual tone with the two tone paths completely separate. But, really, that's unnecessary for using an MP3 player. Just use the 1/8" stereo CD/MP3 jack.

Hello All,

Curious if there is a solution to this.. I currently use a HD500 and occasionally want to rehearse along with an external MP3 player or something like that. So I connect my MP3 player into the "AUX" input, plug my guitar in, headphones in as well and... it works but the "AUX" input is routed thru the same effects as the guitar is. Anyway to get a clean "uneffected" Auxillary input while the effects are ONLY applied to the guitar input?
