I guess no point in buying a cheap used GX just to get my hands on POD Farm 2.5 then , since I'd need to have that POS attached to my computer at all times...

No... included licenses 100% belong to the hardware not the owner.

if you want hardware independence skip the GX and buy pod farm directly.

As the title says... Are the versions of POD Farm 2.5 that come with the interfaces hardware independent?
