Sure.

Just don't dial up an amp model. Set it to footswitch mode (instead of preset mode) and gain access to all 8 stomps per preset.

The good news is, without running amp models, you have more or less free reign with the effects. You probably won't run into the DSP warning.

Before I sell the damned thing is there a way of just using the HD500 as a pedalboard . pref 1 pedal per f/x NO banks etc
