I have a xt pro that dosen't do this with either gitter-- It's the x3...I did a factory preset on it but it still has the annoying unuseable distortion..It's aggrivating when the pod says CLEAN CHOROS and it's distorting...Any suggestions??? i bought it used off e-bay..

How to configure Pod X3 Live via POD Farm

Hello everybody! I have an issue...

I have a POD X3 live, so, when I run gearbox, it takes a current preset directly from my pod and I can configure (change amps, stomps, etc) via gearbox and hear it "on the run".

But when I turn on the POD Farm there is no sense.. Can I configure my pod like in gearbox via the pod farm or not?

I connect my pod to a combo via the "live sound" output, but the sound won't changing while I'm changing amps in the pod farm.

PS. Sorry for my English.

System Menu does not come up/except when it does - from the wrong button push

Hi

I have an X3 Live that I use in the studio, and recently, I decided I wanted to control patch changes via a MIDI pedal. Simple, right?

No. Not simple.

First of all, all of my software, hardware, firmware are at the latest version - I've just updated them all.

So the manual tells you to hold down the four way button for two seconds, and the system menu will appear.

That generally doesn't work, although once in a blue moon, it will take you to a different menu, something to do with Tones and output levels.

My interest is in performing the very simple act of setting the midi receive channel - that's all I want to do.

By exploring, I found by accident, that pushing the HOME button, that a SYSTEM MENU of sorts would appear, but it looks nothing like the one shown in the manual !

In fact, it has two or three LAYERS of print, all on top of each other, creating an unreadable scramble.

Yet, the display works fine with patches, I can switch patches with Gear Box all day long, and the display is normal - so I don't think the display is bad.

So back to this unreadable SYSTEM menu - once I push the HOME button to call it up (although all the manual swear this should be the four way "HOLD FOR SYSTEM" button - but not on MY X3 - I can then turn the HOME button, and see menus changing - but ALL of them are utterly unreadable, because text is "stacked" upon text.

So I cannot locate or read the menu that says MIDI - I can't see the word MIDI anywhere, and I certainly can't find the screen where you set the MIDI Receive channel.

Anyone else had this problem?

This is just strange.

Thanks for your help!

Dave

HD500 Set list

Posted here because file uploads are not enabled in the POD HD forum at present.

This posting is in response to a request in the POD HD Forum for a Bundle or Set List with all the HD500 amp models arranged in a logical order with a CLEAN, SLIGHTLY DIRTY, CRUNCH and SOLO setting for each amp model

Custom set list for HD500 covering all 16 FULL amp models with each model being used four times within a bank (A, B, C and D) starting with a CLEAN setting at position A through to a boosted SOLO setting at position D. Basic FX are included: Wah, Screamer, Analog Chorus, Digital Delay, Reverb and Volume pedal - same in every patch, however the higher gain amp models also have a Noise Gate added after the Screamer which is enabled in the SOLO (D) bank positions. I haven't spent too long adjusting EQ, but have spent a little time levelling the preset volumes. These presets are what they are, they are intended as building blocks for anyone who wants to tweak but with all the amp models laid out logically in a single set list, so hopefully some of the work needed to do this has been done for you. When uploading this Set List to an HD500, make sure you select the destination set list location in HD500 Edit first and that you back up any customised presets that you've made yourself and that you want to keep first as a Set List will overwrite an existing set list entirely when uploaded. When the new Set List appears in HD500 Edit you will need to select Send Set List in HD500 to send the settings permanently (until you decide to update or replace) to the HD500. These presets are basic and they don't pretend to be anything other than that. The amp model settings apart from Gain and Output Volume are at defaults as are all the FX used. In most cases all FX are defaulted to OFF except Volume and in the preset D slot, where SCREAMER will be ON and depending on the amp model NOISE GATE may be on as well.

I hope the file is of some use to HD500 users who want the amp models organised like this. If so, great, but if not just overwrite the settings in your HD500. It works fine on my HD500 and combo power amp input, but different amplification systems will possibly render the sounds slightly differently. Your mileage may vary.

Regards

Nick

I managed to change the reference to 432Hz, but i wanna change it back to 440 and I haven't been able to do that with the dodgy knob on the unit. every few clicks the values jumps back to minimum (425)

Cheers,

Bas.
