I use the graphic eq to get almost all of my tones. It's my favorite effect on the entire amp, just because it really brings out each models potential and lets me get very close to the original amps tone. What I don't understand, is that when I see a forum about the eq effects, people always prefer the 4 band eq. I've tried many times to get a good tone out of the 4 band, but I just can't seem to get anywhere near the level of fullness and response I get with the graphic eq. Am I doing something wrong? Or is there a trick to this one?

Need help registering my Vetta

I purchased a Vetta I (upgraded w/ a variaxe input). about a year ago. I finally hooked it up to my laptop and ran monkey and it told me I must register first. The problem is that the serial numbers printed on the back are partially missing. Is there any way to register it w/o serial #'s? I believe I have the most recent version for this head 2.5 but it would be nice to get it registered so I can get into it via my laptop.

Vetta I Combo - Max possible Update 2013

Hi All,

I've got a Vetta I Combo from a friend, and I want to update it to the max possible versions of everything.

I'm a bit confused as I'm seeing a lot of documentation from mid to late 2000's about updating to Vetta II software, but the versions mentioned are all older than what's available today.

I'm OK with working with Sysex etc, I just don't want to force a higher firmware onto the amp if it can't take it !

A few questions :

1) What is the most recent firmware version that the Vetta I Combo can be updated to today ?

1a) Do I treat this amp as a Vetta II combo when looking at software updating as the Vetta I doesn't seem to be referenced in the downloads lists on line6.com ?

2) Is Line6 monkey an offline application - or does it need web access ? My studio PC is not online so I would prefer an offline update if at all possible.

I'm going to give this amp a clean up and a wipe down now and check back in a little while.

FBV longboard problem

I have just got an fbv longboard to use with my Vetta 1 which has been upgraded to 2. Works fine apart from the volume pedal switches off between sounds, which means I have to down the volume pedal to switch it on nearly every time i change the sound or it comes on at full volume. Not good when at a gig and you have to change quick. Also my Vetta has always made some strange buzzing noises when playing at high volumes between playing. Any ideas on how I could keep the FBV volume on would be great.

Hi.

I recently bought a secondhand vetta 2 combo and I have two questions about the operation of the amp.

I've noticed that when the combo is switched back on after about 20 mins it is set to a higher bank of patches than that set before it was switched off.

Also, the display panel needs to be tapped lightly before illuminating.

Do these suggest a problem with the amp? Is it a simple matter to resolve?

Need a Vetta II extension cab

I have had my Vetta II for years and have just gotten into a situation where I really need an extension cabinet for it. I know there are a lot of choices for 2 x 12 cabs but I'm trying to find an original Vetta II extension cabinet first. I haven't had any luck so I'm wondering if anyone out there can help. Any help with finding an original or advice on something that will work just as well, please help. Thanks.

since the line 6 vetta 2 212 series extension cab is discontinued, what would be a great combination for my vetta 2 combo amp?. i'm looking for something similar to the vetta 2 212 extension cab....2x12 cab, size, same color and functionality. any help would be deeply appreciated.

Has anyone been able to connect successfully to their Vetta II with IE10 installed on their PC? I had no problems with Win7/IE9, but since IE10 the connection keeps dropping. Still works fine on my old XP laptop but would like to still be able to use my desktop.

[HELP] Variax thru VDI not locking

I own a Variax 300 guitar updated to the 3.10 firmware and a Vetta II fully update too. When i plug the Variax in front of the amp with the due switch (to give power to the gtr) i get all the functionalities...But...When i try to connect the Variax to the Vetta II thru the Line 6 CAT5 cable to the VDI of the head, Vetta does not lock on the Variax changing from ON to N/A back and forward. I've set the patch according to the manual and still the problem remains. HELP ...

I've checked the out (CAT5) of the Variax plugin it into a floor POD Xt and it worked fine.
