   Please try the following:

  • Close all open programs out, go to the Mac HD/Users/username/Library/Application Support/Line 6 folder.  ***If you are on Mac OS X Lion 10.7.x, the Library folder is hidden.  To 'unhide' this folder, you must first run the terminal program located in the Applications/Utilities folder.  Once Terminal is running, at the command prompt, type the following:
    • chflags nohidden /Users/Username/Library
      • *The username is the username of your computer which has the house icon under Places
    • Hit enter.  There will be no indication that anything happend except for a new command prompt if it worked.
    • With the Library folder now visible, go to:  Mac HD/Users/username/Library/Application Support/Line 6 folder
  • CTRL+Click on that Line 6 folder in that location folder and select GET INFO.  Check the permissions at the bottom of GET INFO, and check to see if they are set to READ ONLY. If so, manually change the permissions to Read & Write.
  • Then, run License Manager and just sign in with your Line 6 username.
  • After signing in, the Line 6 folder in the above location should be populated with new items such as a Guitarport and License Manager folders, and a L6system file.
  • Then, close out License Manager and test POD Farm 2.51 standalone or plug-in within your DAW once again.

3. Amp Models no longer available in POD Farm 2.0 or older after installing POD Farm 2.5

  • This was a problem with POD Farm 2.50 that was fixed in 2.51.
  • Windows:
    • Completely uninstall both POD Farm 1 and POD Farm 2 using the Line 6 Uninstaller within Programs/Line 6/Tools folder.
    • Download and re-install POD Farm 2.51 from the Line 6 website.
    • If you must also have POD Farm 1 on that computer as well, make sure to install POD Farm 1.12 BEFORE installing POD Farm 2.51 on your system.
  • Mac:
    • Throw away all versions of POD Farm 1 or 2 applications to the trash from the Applications/Line6 folder.
    • Manually search in the following locations and delete any of the files found from within each of these folders:

                              Library/Audio/Plugin-Ins/Components

Library/Audio/Plugin-Ins/VST
Library/Audio/MIDI Drivers
Library/Frameworks (look for L6WXTG and L6WXTY.framework and delete them)
Library/Application Support/Line 6
Library/Application Support/Digidesign/Plug-Ins
(Username)/Library/Application Support/Line 6
Applications/Line 6
User/Documents/Line 6
User/Library/Preferences (Line6 preferences, should be something like com.line6.xxxxx, etc. Delete.)

    • Empty the Trash.

    • Download and install POD Farm 2.51 from the Line 6 website.

4. RTAS Plug-ins Not Loading after POD Farm 2.5 Instantiation

  • An error message pops up at startup with the following:  Pro Tools could not load the following plug-ins either because no valid authorization could be found, the iLok key was not connected or the plug-in was damaged.  It also lists the POD Farm 2 and POD Farm Elements plug-ins below the message.
  • This is a Windows-based problem and seems to be an issue if Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable is not updated or installed properly on the computer system. Using Windows Update to install/update Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable so that POD Farm 2.5 can have access to the libraries it needs to run correctly usually fixes the problem.
  • Please see the attachment at the bottom of this document titled 'Visual C plus Update.docx' for Windows Update instructions and screen shots.
