help with fbv controlling wah in reaper

im trying to record a cover of enter sandman. im using a pod ux1, a fbv mark 2 hooked up through usb to my computer. i am using reaper the first track recorded the midi, which leads to my first problem. when i playback the song the wah doesnt work even though the midi track shows the waves. fx is turned off or i get a horrible sound. my second problem is where the second track wont midi learn for the pedal at all. i have the midi track set to recieve for the 2 tracks i wan to use it on. please help i am a beginner

UX2 sounds low quality?

Hi all, I'm a first time poster here

Essentially my question is this: I am using my UX2 and I'm able to record and get the sound through and all that good stuff, but for whatever reason, the sound is really... muddy? It sounds really poor quality, like a bad youtube rip or something of the sort. Even from POD Farm 2.5 it sounds off. how can I fix this? I set my sampling rate to the one that works best with my computer, checked the connections and all of that but it still just sounds awful. I've heard some great recordings with this device but for whatever reason.. mine... aren't. Anybody able to help me out here?

Pod ux2 recording and footswitch?

Well here is the deal. I currently have a spider iv 75. But i want to be able to do two things: Record at home, and get the Fx infusions and updates for my spider. So here is my question... Am i going to have to buy a footswtitch AND some type of a POD to do both? Or is there a POD or footswitch that could do both? thanks in advance

Hello all,

I'm currently trying to record some demos with my ukulele. I am recording on my desktop which runs Windows XP. I'm using a Line 6 UX2, a preamp and Audacity to record some nice straight forward tunes. My problem is the volume at which the input is being recorded; it's very low. This means I have to whack up the gain after I've made the recordings which is obviously no good as that means lots of hissing and stuff.

My ukulele runs through an external preamp ( which is an L. R. Baggs Para Acoustic D.I.) and the preamp volume is pretty much of full. The Output knob on the UX2 is also on full but I still get these really quiet recordings. This happens when I'm recording just using Audacity as well as when I have Pod Farm running too.

What's happening here!? Does anyone have any tips or ideas?

Compressor/Expander/Limiter necessary with a Line 6 preamp ( Toneport UX2 )?

I have a Toneport UX2 and trying to determine if I need to purchase a Compressor/Expander/Limiter for my home studio. It looks like the Gearbox software has a Compressor (I think it might be an Upward Compressor, can someone confirm?), a Noise Gate, and Hum Reducer (is this an expander?)

I am using this for guitar, bass, and vocals thru my soundcard's SPDIF input. I'm new to the recording game and on a tight budget, but I want my recordings to sound at least semi-professional. Is this extra piece necessary? If so, I would like to get suggestions on a hardware or software one under $400.

I don't get it. Working out of Grageband. I have a toneport ux2. I have installed the drivers and line 6 monkey. I have set my audio preferences on my computer to go through the ux2. My electric guitar works (though not very loud). My microphone is all hooked up and it's not even being picked up by the ux2. The phantom power is on. Confused.

Alright, first of all, I love the ease of use that my HD400 has given me to record. I have KRK powered monitors and it sounds absolutely fantastic. My questions are as follows. MY setup is a POD HD400 direct into a PC for recording, using Reaper. I recently bought a mixer to be able to use my drum machine, vocal mics, and keyboards. My issue is when it comes to getting my drum machine to show up and record on Reaper. I have tried many hookups,(and will continue) but havent found how to get it to direct record to my DAW. The drum machine works fine thru the mixer. Havent tried keyboard yet as I want to solve one problem at a time. Do I need to get a quality soundcard for my PC? It sounds like that would complicate things considering the POD is an audio interface. Any solutions??

problem with pro tools 10 and ux2

I'm having a problem recording with the ux2 into pro tools 10 and getting a signal to come out in the program, I have the latest drivers

For the ux2 and it worked with reaper, and I set my I/O to the ux2 on pro tools. And pro tools does read the ux2, am I missing something else here, I have a signal

I am using garageband, with pod farm and the Line 6 UX2. Im am using this with a Samson CO1 studio condenser.

I am having GREAT difficulty getting a great and clean sound while recording vocals.

Any help please?
