UX2 with Pod Farm, intermittent static

It happens at random (though frequent enough to be REALLY annoying). One website said that using a PCMCIA card will solve the problem (since it relates to how intel chips communicate with USB connections), but I don't have a PCMCIA slot in my computer, so that really doesn't help.

Does anyone know of any other solutions to this problem?

Cheers,
Dave
