(I assume theis would cancel out the option of using the HD edit tool).

Its a full overhaul of the stuff I'm using now (Sonar, UX2, EZ Drummer), and I've already got Superioe Drummer ready to use, still in the box. Even putting the noise gate in the chain didn't fix this problem cuz it only gate'd the noise when I WASN'T playing.

I have tried recording through USB and directly. I have recording / practice room in the new house and was wondering if anyone could give me advice as to what type of interface / sound card to buy? I will typically only be recording guitar, bass, and vocals, while drums will be done with EZDrummer. My HD500 interfaces nicely with my computer for guitar and bass, but will it work well for recording vocals as well? Should I get some kind of external sound card or do you think that the HD500 will server all my interface needs for guitar, bass and vocals? I truly appreciate any help you guys may be able to provide.
