Erasing factory presets in order to help free up additional DSP

I thought to erase some, or even all of the factory presets in an attempt to free up additional DSP resources. However, I'm not sure how to do this and secondly, I don't know if this will actually free up DSP in the User Set Lists. So my question is, does anyone know if erasing factory presets will help and if so does anyone know how to erase all the factory presets?
