FBV express pedal calibration

I just bought a Spider II 112 with an FBV express pedal. It was working fine, but when I downloaded the manual for the FBV express, it said I needed to calibrate the pedal. Now I cannot get it to work at all! With the amp on and pedal plugged into the amp, with a guitar plugged into the line in. I think somehow it is stuck in some sort of calibration mode. I cannot get any volume to come out of the pedal. Please help!!!
try turning it all off and calibrate the pedal again.
i assume that when you unplug the controller, you can use the amp with no problems.
it doesn't look like the FBV controler calibration FAQ has moved form the old support site to this new one yet so I've attached it for you.
Hi,
Here's the calibration doc you'll want to check out.

The procedure doesn't say if you need to calibrate each time you use the pedal. I assume you don't and that the calibration information is somehow stored in the amp. If it's not, and you were to use the pedal on another amp, would you need to recalibrate.
In general, what you you hear or see to tell you that your calibration is off or lost or never done properly. The instructions don't really cover that.
I've got a Spider II 30 and a friend is letting me borrow a FBV Express, but I cannot for the life of me get this thing calibrated. I've been following the posted instructions, but at the end of the calibration, the amp is silent in VOL mode, regardless of pedal position. Also in WAH mode, I can hear the guitar, but the pedal does not change the sound at all.
The foot switches work, though. I've used different CAT5 cables, but nothing seems to get the pedal to work so far. Any tips?
Thanks
I have a Spider Jam and recently bought the FBV Express MkII pedal to go with it. I cannot get past teh 1st step in the calibration process. With the power to the pedal off (meaning it is not plugged up to the amp since that is how you turn it on), I hold down the "D" switch on the pedal while powering it on (plugging it up to the amp). The display doesn't change to "1". Not sure what to do at this point...I would really love to calibrate the pedal in hopes that it would improve the quality of the range you get from the wah pedal feature...becasue as of now it is barely noticeable. Can someone help me?
