Valve MKi vs MKii

sorry if this has been discussed but i cant seem to navigate too well through this forum...how are people liking the new spider valve vs the original?...i have the original and may want to get an mkII...i like to harmonizer and shifter...but ive been reading that the sound is a lot different with people prefering the original.

I had the Mkii 212 about month ago i got it at GC i had it for about 2 weeks then return it back didn't like it to much, then i got Bogner Alchemist 212 wasn't quite happy with that return it back to GC after about 1 week now i got the MKi or the original 212 i got it 3 day's ago and so far i love it and a lot more preset's too, now i got to get the FBV Shortboard, does any one know if the Shortboard for the MKii is compatible with the MKi, i think it is but just want to make sure.
