BackTrack fails during startup, blinks all colors

I accidentally deleted all files and folders on my BackTrack. Now it won't work. When turning it on, it glows white for a little while before it blinks though all the colors, and then goes back to white. Hard-resetting the device by pushing a pin in the reset-hole for 3+ seconds does not help. It restarts, but same thing happens.

I was thinking that I could just upgrade / reinstall the firmware to fix this, but it seems the firmware-file is not available online. Mind sending it to me?

    Hello,

I don't believe reinstalling the firmware will solve your problem especially if the hard reset did not change the behavior of the device.

I am not sure which representative from Line 6 told your service center that but please let your service center know that I told you that it will not work.

If you are under warranty (90 days from the purchase date) then you are entitled to a replacement from the distributor IF you purchased the BackTrack within your sales region.

Please see our warranty repair FAQ for specifics on warranty repairs and replacements. Thanks.

    Hello,

Your dealer was misinformed. There is no public firmware download for the BackTrack. I'd suggest calling your dealer back and letting them know this.

You can also give our Line 6 UK team a call and let them know what is going on. Warranty may differ a little in your country and since you've already gone through all of the hoopla to have your BT looked at, our UK team may be willing to work with you here.

Re: BackTrack fails during startup, blinks all colors

I am having the exact same problem.  It just blinks.  My computer won't even recognize it as a drive.  How would you be able to load the setup files if you could get them?  The BT+M has worked great until today, when I needed it ,naturally.

I would like to have some help.  I actually won mine in the Line 6 song contest so I didn't have to buy it.  Would I have any kind of warranty at all?

I didn't delete all my files that last time I used it on the computer.  Why would it do this if it still has the set up files?  I believe there may be some other kind of problem going on here. Thanks for any help to get me running again.

I have done the hard reset several times and it just keeps flashing at me.

    Thanks,

    Marshall
