BackTrack fails during startup, blinks all colors

I accidentally deleted all files and folders on my BackTrack. Now it won't work. When turning it on, it glows white for a little while before it blinks though all the colors, and then goes back to white. Hard-resetting the device by pushing a pin in the reset-hole for 3+ seconds does not help. It restarts, but same thing happens.
I was thinking that I could just upgrade / reinstall the firmware to fix this, but it seems the firmware-file is not available online. Mind sending it to me?
hello gummitz
if hard resetting doesn't help, please contact your Line6 dealer to use your warranty

Hi, I recently sent the BackTrack unit to my nearest Line6 dealer. They called me today, and said that after talking to Line6 representatives, they were told that the customer (me, that is) must download the firmware and reinstall it, and that the firmware is available on the Line6 website. They are therefore returning it to me, but contradictory to what they were told by Line6, the firmware is NOT available online! I cannot keep sending this unit back and forth forever, and I would appreciate if the firmware could be made available online or at least be sent to my mail, so I can fix this issue! The BackTrack Utility permits firmware reinstallation/upgrade, but that is not very useful when there is no available firmware for me...
Hello,
I don't believe reinstalling the firmware will solve your problem especially if the hard reset did not change the behavior of the device.
I am not sure which representative from Line 6 told your service center that but please let your service center know that I told you that it will not work.
If you are under warranty (90 days from the purchase date) then you are entitled to a replacement from the distributor IF you purchased the BackTrack within your sales region.
Please see our warranty repair FAQ for specifics on warranty repairs and replacements. Thanks.

Hi, the unit is outside the 90 day warranty, so they (the dealer) refuse to look further into the matter.
The reason I believe a firmware reinstall will work, is because I can see that the filesystem is missing. The folders names "SYSTEM" and so forth are now missing, but I am perfectly capable of storing any kind of file onto the unit's filesystem when connected though USB. So if a firmware reinstall also rebuilds the system folders I used to see on the flashdrive, then I believe the problem would be solved.
Since my unit is outside of warranty, I am now left with that reinstall as the only possible solution...
Hello,
Your dealer was misinformed. There is no public firmware download for the BackTrack. I'd suggest calling your dealer back and letting them know this.
You can also give our Line 6 UK team a call and let them know what is going on. Warranty may differ a little in your country and since you've already gone through all of the hoopla to have your BT looked at, our UK team may be willing to work with you here.

I am having the exact same problem. It just blinks. My computer won't even recognize it as a drive. How would you be able to load the setup files if you could get them? The BT+M has worked great until today, when I needed it ,naturally.
I would like to have some help. I actually won mine in the Line 6 song contest so I didn't have to buy it. Would I have any kind of warranty at all?
I didn't delete all my files that last time I used it on the computer. Why would it do this if it still has the set up files? I believe there may be some other kind of problem going on here. Thanks for any help to get me running again.
I have done the hard reset several times and it just keeps flashing at me.
Thanks,
Marshall
