Data Error when trying to install driver update

After updating Line 6 monkey, I attempted to update the new driver for my Studio Pro ux2 and keep getting a data error ( cyclical redundancy error ) and I am unable to connect my ux2.

I use windows xp, 2002 service pack 3.  Plenty of speed 2.50 ghz, 180 gb space available.  never run into this problem before udpating.  Used the uninstaller ( drivers only ) and attempted to update again with same message.

Need help!!!

Thanks

Rummy

How are you trying to update the driver?  Did you download from the website and run the installer?  DO you have the CD in the computer?  Take out the disk if it is inserted.

If the problem persists, I recommend completely uninstalling all Line 6 software and downloading the latest Gearbox 3.71 software, then download the 4.0.2.3 driver directly from our website to install.

Let me know if you need further info.

Just to be clear with your latest response, you were able to install an older UX2 driver and it is now working on the same computer that was giving you the cyclical redundancy error?

RE: Data Error when trying to install driver update

    Hello,

Windows XP is fully supported by us so that is not the problem.

What's strange is the a CRE error usually applies to bad DVD/CD drives or even bad discs.

It can also imply that the software you are downloading may be corrupted so when the drivers are actually being sent to a location, your computer may recognize the corruption and throw that error.

Do you have any anti-virus software running? Pop up blocker software? Download accelerators? These are a couple of things that have been known to corrupt our drivers during the download process.
