I have a Pod X3 Live connected to my computer with the USB lead supplied. I have a variax guitar connected to the X3 Live using the appropriate Line 6 cable. I have been trying to reinstall the latest flash memory (3.10) into the guitar with the Line 6 Monkey (v1.33) but every time I try after getting part way through the process I get an error message saying

" Variax 300/600 update failed.

(Code 8000900C) MIDI device timed out waiting for a response.

Try the update again, making sure the cables are still connected. ".

Once this has happened the computer no longer recognises the Variax unless I switch off the X3 Live and switch it on again, then it finds it again and I start the process all over again until I get the same error message. Is there a setting on the Pod X3 Live that I need to change as it appears to me that this is where the problem is as it stops the recognition part way through the process.
