I keep getting blue screen crashes with gearbox and UX1

Hey i have just started using my Ux1 and gearbox because i just had a notion to retry it again (i couldnt get it to function on my old computer).. i love the tones in gearbox and would love to use them in some song ideas i have.. the problem is when i use gearbox it makes my computer crash... My DAW is cakewalk's Guitar Tracks Pro 4 and i was previously using guitar rig 3 and and m-Audio usb interface and i NEVER had this issue.. does gearbox normally not let you monitor the tone when you use it as a plug in? when i try to use it as a plug in i can only get the processed clean tone, not any of the effects. i tried to see if i needed to activate something, which apparently you dont have to with the UX1 and gearbox, but when i open gearbox as a plugin it says that i need to activate it with monkey at the bottom right corner, but there is nothing to activate when i open monkey.. so what i am having to do is open gearbox as the stand alone to get the tone, then open Guitar Tracks 4 to be able to even use gear box... Im sure this is why i am having problems, because 2 applications are trying to use the same drivers.. right? maybe??
how do i get gearbox to work as a plugin if there is no activation key needed? GTP4 "recognizes" the plugin even allows me to choose it and add it to tracks, but it doesnt work. what can i do to get it to work properly, and get rid of all these blue screen crashes??
I am running it on Windows Vista 32 bit, Service Pack 2
Any advice would be helpful
Hi,
The gearbox plug in version has been discontinued and is no longer supported. You can still use the standalone gearbox version and rout the processed signal into your DAW.
