POD HD for bass

Hi everyone!

I couldn't find any information whether there will be a version of the POD HD for bass. The only thing i could find was a hint in the manual that one can connect a Variax bass to the POD HD. But actually, i would not buy an HD for playing my bass via virtual 12" guitar loudspeakers...

So does anyone know whether a version dedicated to bass guitars will be provided lateron?

Thanks for any information!

Line 6 doesn't comment on current or future projects, if any, so there's no way of telling.

    Only time will tell

The answer for bass is pretty much the same as for vocals/acoustic guitars.............

I want some bass amp and cab models. I use an M13 as a bass multi effect and many of its effects work really well with the bass.

    Re: POD HD for bass

I'm currently using the POD HD500 on my Ibanez 5-string at Church and even though there is not much specific to bass, the device is so flexible that I have been able to emulate various effects, grouping them into a single preset, one for my bass, and one for my violin. I have both instruments hooked up to the 500 simultaneously, the bass in the guitar input panned hard left and the violin going into the Aux input panned hard right to output them into 2 house XLR's separately.

I'm not as sensitive about FX as my son, who plays lead on a Steve Vai Jem, and is using separate pedals from different manufacturers.

I use a tube comp and a tube drive together for most songs but if I need more top end I swap an EQ for the tube drive. I also have on the same preset a Script Phase for certain worship songs it's a soothing effect, I have a Growler set at a low mix to use with the Vetta Wah as the growler provides sufficient top end to make the Wah very effective, and I also have emulated a T-Wah using the Tron Up filter (Range=Low, Low Pass, Q=100, Freq=10, mix=100). YMMV.

I'll be glad to share if you wish.

I've uploaded to custom tone as BassSmooth_2011_08_03.h5e.

      Enjoy. Or not.

Just FYI..tried to find your tone on customtone but couldn't find it under Pod HD 500, the tones name, or your name when I searched. Not enjoyed
