Very weak signal from condenser mic to UX2

I'm a complete n00b when it comes to home recording, so please excuse my ignorance.

I've got a Rode NT1-A condenser microphone plugged into a UX2 interface and for the life of me cannot get a decent signal. I've tried both Mic inputs (properly selected in PodFarm), the phantom power is turned on and the gain/volume turned up in every place it can be and yet the signal going into the computer is registering at whisper levels. I've tried multiple USB ports on the back of my iMac and they all yield the same results in both PodFarm and Garageband.

I've had signal issues since I've had my UX2 (having to put the gain at or around 100% just to get anything usable), but now it seems to have degraded to almost nothing.

Is there anything I can do on my end? Or is a repair in order?

    sbartlett85,

Here are a couple of things to check. In the POD Farm software, click on the Mixer button and you will find a +18 dB button next to the Record Send 1-2 and 3-4 sliders.  This button will boost the output from the POD Farm software into your recording program.  Use the red slider to minimize the amount of boost if it is too much.

Also, go into the Mac's Audio-MIDI Setup in Applications/Utilities.  Select the UX2 device, and ensure that the Input and Output levels are all the way up (or as high as you need them.)

      Regards,

Not sure what the problem could be here so far and cannot speculate if there is a hardware problem with the UX2 at this point yet.

Can you provide a screen shot of how your Audio-MIDI setup page looks?
