Grazie, Carlo.
Hi, i'm trying to create a preset where in tone 1 there is guitar (directed to my head and cabinet) and in tone 2 the voice (directed to the mixer). I think that's everything ok but a little "feedback" of the guitar always enter in the voice channel :-(
Someone can help me? Thanks, Carlo.
Is it possible that the mic is simply picking up some sound from your head/cab through the air?
I think no, because it happens also when the tone 1 (guit) is muted or when the volume of my head is turned completly off... It seems like you cannot exclude/separate completly the output of the tone 1 inside the tone 2, so a little percent of the sound always goes in the tone2.
Please describe your setup in detail:
- your physical Inputs and the selections on the X3 Inputs page for both Tones
- your physical outputs/routing, and the selections on the X3 Outputs pages for both tones, for both Studio / Direct Mix and the 1/4" Live Outputs, including pan settings.
Ok, here is my setup:
PEDALBOARD:
Guitar in: send
Live out: return (LEFT)
Guitar: head
Mic: Mic in
Direct out (LEFT): mixer
INPUTS PEDALBOARD ON DISPLAY:
Guitar: tone 1
Mic: tone 2
Enable/Disable global control???
OUTPUTS 1/4 INCH:
Mode: stack pwamp???
Tone 1 pan: left
Tone 2: mute
STUDIO/DIRECT MIX:
Tone 1: mute
Tone 2 on pan: left
Match studio direct
I hope to be clear and exhaustive, otherwise ask me what you need.
Thanx a lot, C!
Try backing both your Pan controls from full left by one tick/position. I seem to recall that there is some bleeding between Tones in the X3 when pan is set to 100%. Try it at 99%.
Ok, thanx i'll try in the next days and update you as soon as possible. Bye...
+1 to nickmattocks' suggestion. Also, make sure you have the latest firmware version installed on your POD.

No, is an old version but what happen to my presets in case of updating? Is possible a complete reset with the risk to loose all my sounds/patterns?
B: how can i update my firmware?
Thanx a lot...
Use Gearbox to save your existing presets to your computer before updating the X3 firmware. Then you can use Gearbox again to reload the saved presets after updating.
Ok, thanx a lot. I'll try in the next days...
Thanx a lo to to everybody, everything's ok, firmware updated, pattern saved, guitar and voice runs perfectly, but now i plug guitar by direct input instead send/return...
Cheers, Carlo!
