FB4 Switching Issues

Hi all,

I've recently downsized my live rig from a tube amp and vintage pedal board and are now using a POD 2.0 that I bought brand new, a few years ago (with "pedal" input signage on the back of the unit) and are running it DI'd into my mixer. I like everything about the setup, and have been using an FB4 switcher when playing live (10-12 gigs per month). The problem I am having is that sometimes when I switch from say "A" to "B" on the footswitch, the POD unit will switch to a totally new bank of sounds.

EG :

I am using bank 1 on the POD unit for my main sounds - "A" is my main rhythm sound, "B" is my main lead sound, "C" is a duplicate of "B", and "D" is a rhythm sound with some flange on it.

So, when I am playing in "1-A" (main rhythm sound) and press the "B" button on the FB4 to switch into my main lead sound, sometimes it will go to say Bank 9, or other times it will go to Bank 2 - with no specific preset number on the POD (sometimes it will be 9-A, othertimes it will be 8-C etc....).

Is this a common fault with the FB4 ? As I have tried changing the CAT5 cable etc.... but that didn't have any effect, as the same problem returned....

Now, this only happens randomly, but it will definately happen a couple of times a show, which makes me have to run to the mixer (I have the POD tucked away behind the mixer case), and then I have to manually use the buttons to get the POD back into the right preset bank - which is a PITA if I am in the middle of a lead break ! (has happened more than once !).

Any help on this would be really appreciated, as I play guitar for a living (live and studio) and would like to avoid having to buy a totally new unit or footswitch if at all possible....

Thank you.
