Spider Jam Resets When Using FBV Express Wah Pedal

I thought this problem was solved, but it's not. When I'm playing along to a recording, my Spider Jam resets randomly. When I say reset, it's like it was powered off and then back on for everything except the power. The music stops, the LCD goes through its startup process, and then the amp comes back to life, but any unsaved recordings are gone, and the settings are where they would be if I did do a power cycle.
This only has happened since I got my FBV Express pedal, and it only has happened when using the wah pedal. I tried playing for a while using the volume pedal the same way I use the wah, and it seemed fine with no resets. This has happened with three different CAT 5 cables, including the one from Line 6.
I plugged the amp directly into the wall, but it still resets. I've been working around the problem by switching off wah after a few minutes. Only seems to reset after about 5 minutes of continuous wah pedal use. Switching the wah off and then back on again seems to buy me another 5 minutes.
I have the latest Spider Jam firmware. The pedal is a couple of days out of the box, and if I can't fix it, it's going back to the dealer. Or maybe it's a problem with the amp. If anyone has some ideas, I'd love to hear them. Thanks.
Well this has happened to me, i didn't experience this with using the wah pedal on an express FBV, but it did randomly reset, kind of a let down after you anticipate it huh? but it can be fixed, what i did as suggested in the forums when i had this problem was to redo the update process. download the update again, they said it was most likely a corrupt update file, and follow the instructions like it's the first time updating. i know it's frustrating, i hope it helps=)
i actually ahve a question, can the FBV express control recording an looping??
thanks
Thanks for the tip. I've been really busy lately, but I'll try the fix tomorrow and then award the appropriate points. Nice system.
Reloaded the firmware, and the problem is still there. Bummer. If I'm the only one with this problem, I think it must be a hardware issue.
EDIT: I just had the amp reset when using the volume pedal. It's going back to Line 6 for a replacement. I'm also replacing the FBV Express with a Shortboard. If that doesn't fix the problem, then it's an error in the programming logic.
Original poster here. I got a new Spider Jam from Line6 via RMA, and at first I didn't notice the problem, but it is unfortunately still there.
This is how I can recreate the problem every time.
1) Record a backing guitar track to the Pasdena Rock drum loop
2) Play the newly recorded backing track and jam over it with using the wah pedal
3) After 15-45 minutes, the Spider Jam resets itself.
I'm not going to spend any more time trying to fix this, but it would be nice if someone at Line6 could try to recreate it. I personally think it is a bug in the logic since it's popped up in two different amps and three different pedals (Express and two Shortboards).
+1 to gregorio819's suggestion to re-install the firmware.
To address gregorio's question: press the 'SETTINGS/TONE' button twice and scroll to the bottom of the list. Change the FBV MODE from NORMAL to JAM CONTROL mode.

Hello,
Thanks for getting back to us on this situation. As you have been able to find the same behavior on multiple amps, cables, and firmware I will log this information as a possible bug and have the software division look into this.
Thanks.
