I was wondering if i can plug an MP3 player into my guitar input and use the amp to listen to it?
Not sure if it would work or not... i know i would need stereo cables and adapters but is this a feasible/safe idea?
Just trying to hook up an MP3 player and use it for a party, any help is apreciated.
Thanks
Hello,
Which Line 6 amp are you using? must of the amplifiers have an MP3 input jack, so you could use this if the option is available.
I use mine that way all the time. My mp3 line-in broke, so I just take my regular ipod auxiliary cable and I have this little converter piece that changes the size of the cable end. You can add distortion to your ipod and everything if you so choose. Just beware - it can be very loud if you have both the amp volume and the player volume turned up.
