Hi volume issue

I just got a b stock hd100 mkII after selling my hd147 which i loved  but sold due to my other guitarist having an hd100 which always cut  through live mixes better than mine and i wanted us to have similiar ,  not exact , tones. I have owned the flextone 1 and 2 hd's and loved the  tones aand the hd 147 was great as well, my problem with the hd100 is  the the hi gain tones at high volume having a very rough and almost  crackling sound, it goes away when the drive is turmed down but now ive  lost the "crunch" , Take metal blue for example ,at low volume  soundsgreat , but at 1.5 on the mast volume the sound breaks up and  sound like crap (fuzzy, harsh, cracking etc etc) , i use v30's in a mesa cab and have tried my emg guitar  as well as my seymore duncan guitar , no change other than the obvious  difference your hear in actives vs passives. I have tweaked the mids,  trb , bass, presence, and drive on all higain ,metal and insane models  and updated the head the newest firmware and just not diggin it like i  did with my previous solid state head from line 6 , any suggestions  would help thanks guys !

Also  getting a tone of feedback at normal playing volume at practice ( about  1.5 - 2on master volume) so i turned on the gate and to destroy the  feedback i have to tuen it to about 40 on the thresh hold , killing my  sustain and ability to pinch harmonics. This never happened on my hd 147  i was able to have the gate thresh hold at about 60 and 0 feedback and a  ton of sustain and yes i know theres a difference in tube and solid  state im just simply stating my issues lo
