saving to SD card from spider jam amp

My amp won't save from amp to SD card. I went to update firmware but I already have the most current version (2.09)

My SD card is 8G. Is that the problem, does the card have to be only 1 or 2 G?

 

when I attempt to save to SD card the  amp restarts (sound cuts off and spider jam logo appears in display screen) and then nothing happens.
