Hi folks,

This is my first post here, I'm in Cambridge UK, I've got a Variax 700 and a Flextone III that I bought from a friend, I'm pretty pleased with the sounds I can get out of them, but I also have another amp (an old Polytone minibrute with a good basic clean sound), so I'm thinking about trading the flextone in and getting hold of a 300HD.

Am I right in thinking that with this setup I'll be able to connect the variax to my laptop via the pod, run workbench and create some custom sounds, including altered tunings, then store those along with amp and fx settings, so (away from the computer) I'm able to hit a footswitch and swap from, say, a banjo in DADGAD through a wah into an AC30 to some other equally ridiculous combination?

Does anyone have any opinions about how the Pod will sound through the Polytone? There's no FX return input or anything like that.
