Wiring a replacement cord for XDS-95

I need to make a replacement cord for my xds-95. I've already purchased the 1/4' mono plug and the locking 1/8 stereo plug; I'm just wondering how to connect them together. Do I simply connect the tips and sleeves of both plugs and ignore the ring on the 1/8 stereo plug, or is there some other way to wire this up?
